4000 kVA 24/12 Pulse Rectifier Transformer for traction power

Rectifier Transformer - 4000 kVA 24/12 Pulse Rectifier Transformer Used to increase or decrease an alternating current voltage, for use by a rectifier, which produces a direct current output voltage. The transformer may have one or more secondary windings, depending upon the rectifier circuit configuration.

Transformers for railway traction rectifier applications must be designed to withstand the frequent overloads and short circuits to which they are subjected.
In addition, these transformers are often located where environmental conditions are likely to contaminate the transformers, which can result in premature failure of the transformer. 
For example, transformers located in underground substations for metro systems may be subjected to contamination by dust from the brakes of the trains passing through the tunnels.
Cast coil transformers are ideal for this application since they are much more resilient to contamination and are simple to maintain. In addition, they possess excellent short circuit withstand capability.
